more censorship?

I feel there is sufficient groundswell amongst the uninvolved members on historic for me to either lock this thread or move it to GD.

I’ll start by moving it to GD on the lightning conductor principle, but will be keeping an eye on it there.

Just thought i’d echo the sentiments of Papa Lima, Hatton and the many other forum members who share the same views on this thread and the pointless and immature bickering that has bounced around this community for a while now. I refrained from posting a comment earlier because I was actually quite humoured by some of the replies, though now i am less humoured and more concerned at the well being of the community. This thread should be, at least, moved to the general discussion forum or locked or binned altogether.

It’s like a bl**dy school playground in here sometimes!

EDIT: I see it has finally been moved, at least this is a start. Now lets focus on solving the root of the problem.

Hatton, I’ve been itching to write the same as you for days now, this thread is a waste of space and in my opinion should be not kust locked but ERASED! Any attempt to start a new thread on the same lines should be stamped on immediately.

Imagine if the same effort put into this thread went into actual threads of historic content, will someone please just lock the thread and let it disappear.

I joined the forum a month or two back, and thought I’d joined a fairly mature group of individuals, who shared a common interest. I’ve enjoyed most of what I’ve seen to date, but this thread is becoming repetetive and painfully boring now.

As with any group of people, be they family, friends, work colleagues, there will always be occassions when people don’t see eye to eye – everyone has their own view, and isn’t that what makes life (both real world and on these forums) so much richer?

What I see here is an ongoing childlike squabble, I don’t know the back ground, and I don’t really care, as others have said already, recent events show that life is all too short for harbouring ill feelings over ongoing petty squabbles. Get a grip on the priorities!

As others have said, for heavens sake step outside the forum/thread, take your bickering elsewhere (PMs? or meet up somewhere and beat one another senseless, I (and I’m sure many others)don’t really care). But I am sur ethe vast majority would like you to sort it out out of sight of the rest of us who aren’t directly involved, and who want to get back to talking about historic aviation.

Leave the forum for those mature individuals who can generally rub along together OKay, accepting that the occasional difference of opinion is all part of life’s rich tapestry.

I’ve got an inbox full of messages sent by far more than seven people (as claimed here) who want this resolved.
One or two of them are currently canceling their subscription to Flypast.

I have no idea what has been going on here (and more to the point I don’t care) but for Christ sake just stop it will you.

How anyone can become so bitter and wound up over things said and done on a forum is unbelievable.

If someone is unable to use this forum without becoming involved in all this personal **** my advice is for them to keep there computer off at all times.

You should all know only 2 well life is 2 short to spend it wound up and bitter, life is 2 short just take a step back and think if all this stress and crap is worth it at the end of the day.
