Saturday was indeed jolly windy, but I was amazed to see quite a number of Cubs and Moths at the event, in weather where I would not have even opened the hangar doors. There was no sign of the usual Air Atlantique squadron, so the tone of the event was more light and fluttery. A Proctor and a Vega Gull made a lovely paired departure.
Today (Sun) was altogether better and there was a varied turnout, with a good Miles flavour as usual. Hairyplane was there with his fleet, and Melvyn with the ‘Red Beaver’, though it seemed to fly away with a empty seat, which should be illegal! There was also a pretty little Hatz biplane and three Chrislea examples.
All in all, a great event- long may it continue.
