The latest feedback from contacts at Brooklands is that Vickers Type no. ‘440’ is for the Wellington Mk X, which could tie in with the previously mentioned loss.

A check on the Varsity @ NAM yesterday, identified a similar sized and shaped panel, which is located underneath the engine nacelle and just to the rear of the oil cooler.
