If it is a 601 then it will have come from a 109 Emil or a 110. Almost certainly a BoB relic.

Looks like it went in hard, probably under full power into the sea.

I had a P-38 Lightning prop which had been dragged up off the IoW around 20 years ago. It was in excellent condition.
