I am surprised the Concorde simulator is flyable. When one of my former colleagues at Linlk-Miles saw the sim two or three years ago, he reported that a chainsaw had been used to separate the cockpit wiring from the computer.
Someone must have done a terrific job of rewiring the sim assuming that the wiring/coding lists had all the updates incorporated.

When BA decided to dispose of the simulator there were no takers at their asking price, but it still had to leave the building at Filton as, I believe, it was being demolished. There was little option to ‘separating’ the cockpit from the instructor section in the time scale other than by cutting the wiring.

Some two years of work by volunteers at Brooklands and, I think, Surrey University, has resulted in the re-activation of all the sytems, albeit without the complex movement system. The ‘wrap-around’ screen does make the flying very realistic. See: http://www.brooklandsconcorde.com/moreinfo.html
