At the risk of being accused of pedantry, it wasn’t! Yes, it was the first aircraft in the M. series but, in terms of F.G.Miles designed aircraft, it was preceded by the Southern Martlet and, even before that, by the the Gnat biplane! Maybe one day someone will be tempted to construct a replica Gnat. However in terms of drawings, that would present an even greater challenge. Although someone really intrepid could start from the photo of the uncovered airframe on page 2 of Don Brown’s book!
