The biggest surprise about the Lysander for me was hearing one fly and noting that comparative to many other aircraft it was a less noisy. perhaps this was a factor in choosing that engine but ops by SOE were not the main role when it was planned. Very happy to know another will fly soon and wonder where there accounts of the use of the guns?
