By the way, back in the 1982/3 time frame I was a flight test engineer for McDonnell Douglas. I worked the test plans for the #3 AV-8B that was undergoing testing as part of the full scale development program for the type out at NATC Patuxant River, Maryland. The #3 prototype was primarily an offensive avionics and weapons release test platform. It was a fun project.
