And the out-house?
By: Yak 11 Fan - 17th May 2005 at 23:43
The doghouse on the Hurricane is the wooden structure to the rear and below the canopy, the canopy is still the canopy however.
By: JonathanF - 17th May 2005 at 22:48
Just to confuse things further, I’m sure I’ve seen a reference to the radiator structure being called the dog-house. Which is it? The canopy itself would seem to fit ‘greenhouse’ rather better than dog-house…

I’m sure that Digby’s been in the doghouse plenty of times.

Nice engine.
Would that be the early one piece cylinder head and bank and if so the only one of its type flying?
Mark
Has one piece heads and banks.
Has the Shuttleworth Merlin III ever been rebuilt?
By: HP57 - 30th April 2005 at 11:17
I thought Shuttleworths Sea-Hurricane also flies with a Merlin III. Shortly after it made it’s first flight it was always reported that its engine was the oldest in the world.
Cheers
Cees

The article says it’s a Merlin III so presumably it must be.
