Well, if this is democracy, China is better without it…
Rincewind: I am not even going to comment on your remarks. If 23 million tries its utmost to drag 1.4 billion to war, I don’t know what more I can say…

Obviously the only people who really have a say in this are the Taiwanese, not the Chinese, and anyone can guess what their choice would be.

How irresponsibly naive and hollow the statement.

Sadly, even people from the cotton belt of America find
the need for the theme “roots” to help them find themselves again and to
help them regain their self respect and confidence
in life!!!

Sad!!! Really sad!!!

didnt know race was an issue here.

The thing is that that Chinese might be biased on the subject, seeing that the Chinese (government) still consider Taiwan to be a part of China, something that Chen sees somewhat differently.

Nationality, not race, u mean? Said that keeping Taiwan in view. I am not arguing abt the stunt being political or not. A shot was fired and it hit him. That was captured on TV. So there is nothing ‘magical’ about the bullets trajectory.

Well SOC that is why this shot is maracoulous. Lu suffered like a 1/2 cm deep wound on the most felshy part of her knee, no problem what so ever. Very very magical hey?

Really…if the bullet had passed through the VPs knee at that point, she wouldn’t be standing there looking around I’d think.

Speculations abound…

Inside job. Object: Voter sympathy.

Or so says speculations of some
throughout the www. Seems a second term is now
guaranteed for him due to this incident.

Politics… You never know!

The bullet pierced through the glass. You can clearly see a hole and that image you posted proably was taken before he was shot. CNN clearly showed the bullet hole. The angle is also not the same as u have shown.

99% chance of it been political stunt for sympathy votes. So likely that 10 hours before the election some one decided to shoot Chen and Lu…
Must also have been magical bullet for it to travel through the front windscreen, somehow going around the bodyguard in the front seat, graze Chen on the stomach at a 90 degree angle, and then deflect downwards into Lu’s knee, and somehow return to Chen’s jacket. Bull****!
