This is my latest masterpiece. What do you all think?
Also, what is your favourite piece of Aviation Art? Do you have any of your own that you want to share?

To keep on the Coltishall theme, Tails of the Jaguar part 2 (as I cannot get them all in on Part 1). 😮 😀 As its Part 2, better throw some T-birds in. 😎

One of two that I have up in the house.
A winters day at Coltishall. one of RST Hurricanes. The other is Hawk Country. £80 went from my hands to Mike Rondot for that one, Having actually done what was in the picture worth every penny.
I like the subtle effect on that……..that’s why I do a lot of watercolour painting 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀 Very nice 🙂 🙂 🙂

I’ve got a couple of faves, one of which I posted on the Raymond Baxter thread (“Spitfire Special Delivery”, by Michael Turner).
The other is called “August Victory”, by Simon Atack, and shows Bob Doe in his Spitfire Ia, having just defeated an Me109.

I have to say that this is one of my favourites. I found it on the internet somewhere and can’t remember the name of the artist, but it’s extremely eye-catching 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀

Martinsyde S1, Pilot Louis A Strange, Date 10th May 15, Lewis gun magazine Jammed as he tried to change it while engaging a German aircraft, he stood up in the cockpit to free it, Aircraft then stalled 😮 , went inverted and he fell out. 😮 He managed to hold on to the Drum and it stopped him from falling to his death 😎 , He then managed to get back into the cockpit and recover the plane before it hit the ground. 😀
So, I was pretty darn close then 😀 😀 😀 Mark 😀

And saw off attacks by 109s despite having no ammunition, and not being qualified as a Hurricane pilot (he was, IIRC the Sqn Adjutant.)
24 Sqn, me thinks. No Ammo, He always had a way of attacking other aircraft that didn’t require it, for example, his cable and anchor trick that he tried with the S1 in early May 1915.

And, in May 1940, what did he do as an unqualified Hurricane pilot?

Is answering your own questions like laughing at your own jokes? 😮
(I got the wrong type, right action.)
Spitfire pilot got the maker right 😀 JDK, got the full order. Yes I do have a bad habit of laughing at my own jokes 😮
