Went the other week and fired off a few snaps, unfortunately, too large for here. It was absolutely chucking it down and, from a distance at least, she looks half respectable when the paint (or whats left of it) is wet… 😀

Anyone seen what’s written on the wings?
Before putting in a bid, have a look what’s written on the top of the Vulcan’s wings.

Perhaps he should throw in an Arc welding and cutting kit, or at least a replacement set of decals!!!!

Truely sad it’s come to this…
Is it possible that Ebay should look to the fact that this listing may not be accurately discribing the condition…
I mean the fact that it’s got engines (see auction title) does seem to be rather a mute point. 😮

This whole farce has now gone past all reason, its high time the thing was scrapped as its making everyone involved look very silly to say the least.

If I’d got the money I’d buy it, have it dismantled as thoroughly as possible and sent to Australia to join JDK’s ever growing collection of ‘Airfix’ warbirds.
Cor, you know how to hold a grudge, don’t you? 😉

“Will not fly, but extra offer of bits taking short flights down onto ground!”
By: Melvyn Hiscock - 27th August 2005 at 01:14
Nice bit of sly advertising there managing to get the whole of the Blacpool Air Centre sign in plus the phone number for flying vouchers with the Vulcan just stuck of to the right abit. 😮
It looked very photoshopped to me too. That text on the vouchers sign has no perspective.

I can’t believe she’s back on Ebay! I still haven’t stopped crying! Laughter or sadness, i’ll let you know…
“Won’t Fly…” No Sh*t!!! I was looking through a book last night when I saw a picture of the ‘Black Buck Vulcans on their farewell flight, XM607, XM612, XM597 and XL391.’ It really is so sad that although she never went to war for real, all she’ll be remembered for is that sad rusting hulk that was flogged on Ebay (possibly twice?) and then smashed to bits by JCB’s because no one could breathe on her without her collapsing into a pile of dust. Lets hope Mr Bateson doesn’t get his hands on any more of our aviation heritage. I’d hate to think what would have happened if he’d have got a Concorde…. ‘Famouus Concorde airliner G-BOA*, decomissioned by BA, won’t fly…….’ 😡
