Didn't the Kiwis do well ?

Not since the demolition days of Richard Hadlee (Sir) have I seen such a competant Kiwi side. What astonishingly good cricketers.

It won’t detract from their performance to declare – pun intended – that England were abysmal. On that showing, the Aussies must already be laughing into their champagne.

A forecast for the ODI’s very probably but the test series? I am not so sure. It does show what might have been in the World Cup!!

The England Test side would be considerably ‘refreshed’ without Mr. Cook at the helm.

Sets up the final game rather nicely. 🙂
Good to see some resilience in the England side. What with the dl game and this fourth one.
It has got me thinking about the test side and whether some of this one day team should be in contention? Anybody got any thoughts?

I rather think we have let the Kiwi’s down. one of the UKs best friends.
they have possibly the most exciting team in world cricket at present. we give them two tests in May
followed by some 1 day games. all the matches so far this season between eng & NZ have been the
best possible advert for a game that is struggling to survive in real terms.
Shame on the ECB and International cricket authorities. Well played NZ and I am delighted to say…..and well played Eng.

Now play the same way against the Ozzies. And in the Test’s Mr Cook..please use some imagination in the field and THINK POSITIVE !

That’s good to hear but at odds with the overall participation in sports across the board, which had decreased following the initial and inevitable but short lived surge in 2012. The millions of legacy cash …….

Has gone…..?? No doubt we will hear much about the “legacy” of the World Cup for rugger this year. I suspect the effect will be as minimal as that of the 2012 Olympics, …….>>….

The Olympic legacy has worked in our neck of the woods. In Hadleigh where the mountain biking took place, there has been a lot of money spent in opening up a little used area. Improved footpaths, cycle tracks, a new visitor centre and cafe.

Sorry wrong thread…..

I suppose that we’re intended to be grateful that CH5 or, whichever, can get the highlights onto TV at midnight.

This, when most of the cricketing pundits are moaning about the decreasing popularity of the sport. If you sell the viewing rights to the highest bidder, thus ensuring exclusivity, you end up losing inclusivity.

Rugby will go the same way.

If ODI’s are your bag then any result by D/L is bound to be a disappointment.

Roll on the Ashes!

I remain hopeful but not yet convinced. And I am not that optimistic for our chances in the Ashes.
