Not really – the aircraft was static – the trees were doing the flypast…

Nice one, Moggy.
For someone who says he can’t take pictures, the panning’s spot-on.

We bought a couple of digis this year for work.
I’ve never used the Canon 10D. I leave that to my more artistically inclined colleague.
I use the Nikon5700 (About £670 + VAT). Don’t often take airshow pictures, preferring to watch the aircraft uncluttered by lenses and a little window, but made an exception at an early Shuttleworth.
Most people have seen those pics. Here’s one I didn’t post before.

I use a Nikon D1x and D100, mostly with a 70-200 AF-S lens, unfortunately someone nicked all my camera gear from my hotel room whilst I was helping to look after the TFC aircraft at RIAT, so it has taken me a while to replace it. But I will post some of my pics soon.

Olympus C700UZ – hoping to get into a Canon 10D sometime.
The New Olympus E1 looks like a good bit of kit too. Bit higher priced than the 10D.

Tom – nice pics. I’m using an older version of the Olympus C-7xx range, the Olympus C-2100UZ. Afew of mine from Dux…. (not many Warbird pics to show I’m afraid!)

Shhhhhhhhhh! Snapper 😉 The first pic is of the Boss’s Allard from Goodwood and the second is from Shuttleworth, both this year.

I bought a C-700 Olympus a couple of years ago and get on great guns with it, can’t afford any of these fancy things like Snapper and Damien B use.

Moved up to a D-SLR just before the beginning of this years airshow season, and being a long time Nikon user I went for the D100, which I’ve been very happy with.
Seven and a half thousand exposures in 9 months – if that had been film it would have cost me over two grand ( – see, I’ve saved money by buying it, amazing what you can do with statistics!!! 😀 😀 )
Webthumb is one gallery generator that might be worth a look Dave, details at

One of this years efforts from Elvington

Think i am convinced
i will buy the lens to convert my camera we would all like a SLR but digital ones cost a arm and a leg and if i lost them i would be crap at taking photos i think:D

Thanks for the kind words sparky.
I paid about £500 for the Fuji 602 a year ago. I doubt you would get this model anymore – the new equivalent is the S7000.
I have just added a gallery from Elvington by the way.
Incidentally, my galleries are a bit of a hotch potch of different styles as I’ve never found a gallery generator that I’m happy with. Anyone got any recommendations?
