Right, time for a new thread on this.
Who is coming?
Where are we meeting?
At what time shall we meet?

It’s still a tad sticky, but the taste is good, and it is in lump form…

Morning Geoff. We are clearly a sad pair – gwtting up at stupid o’ clock is one thing, adding ten minutes to check he forums is even worse! see you in a couple of hours…
By: von Perthes - 9th May 2004 at 06:50
Morning Andy 🙂
By: Arabella-Cox - 9th May 2004 at 01:20
That’s probably a good idea. I’m only twenty minutes from DX, and I’m still worried about making the 10.30 RV!! See you tomorrow.
By: dhfan - 9th May 2004 at 01:06
That’s the plan, Steve.
Since we’ve got a 2 hour drive to get there, I suppose I should really go to bed instead of sit here in front of this box!
By: Arabella-Cox - 9th May 2004 at 00:52
We’ll strap him to the new Duxford train then. I hear that’s not very mobile at the moment. 😉
You coming tomorrow Ken?

I think, for safety’s sake, at the first opportunity we ought to strap Kev’s chair to something large and immovable. If both the Suffolk and Antipodean hooligans are going to be there, his life is obviously in danger.
By: JDK - 9th May 2004 at 00:09
Why do I have an image of Kev as the ball in a pinball machine once he gets INTO the AAM? B-17! Tilt! Turkycat! Bonus Score!
Thunderbolt! Extra go!
etc…
By: Arabella-Cox - 9th May 2004 at 00:03
We could always slingshot Kev up the AAM ramp, now I’ve got the MG back and running. All he’s got to do is hold on to the aerial while I drag him along from hangar 1 to hangar 5, then when we hit the F15 he lets go. I peel off left, Kev zaps off to the right, up the ramp, pulls the brakes and hangs a swift left into the AAM. Sorted. 😀

Mark.
I think Ashley will call you tomorrow to find out where you are. Hope that helps.
Regards,
kev35

Just remembered I hadn’t turned the computer off – I shall try and remember.
God I wish Anna were going.

Thank God for laptops eh?
By: Ashley - 8th May 2004 at 22:49
Hope to be there sometime tomorrow…Absolutely cream crackered after long journey…not helped by the fact that Mr Ashley a) cannot drive, and b) cannot read a map to save his life…says “left” when he means “right”, holds the map the wrong way up, and falls asleep a lot…which results in me yelling “which way now?” and walloping him one with the map 😀
I have Snapper’s mobile number so I will give him a call when I arrive to find out where you all are (By the sound of it, spread all over the site) If someone is reading this tonight/tomorrow morning before going to Duxford, and Snapper hasn’t read this because he is presumably quaffing beer at the Red Lion right now, please let him know I will call.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow
Becka
P.S. Why am I posting this? You’re all probably in the Red Lion getting rat-arsed as I type, and there will be no-one to read this…Bah!

If the V-1 ramps out, what about strapping a couple of JATO bottles either side, and sitting him on the end of the runway? The earth embankment by the motorway should give Kev a nice rate of climb.
Geoff.
By: Snapper - 8th May 2004 at 16:08
A Kev a day helps you work rest and play.
Which way on the ramp – up and over or down and over?
By: srpatterson - 8th May 2004 at 15:38
Thank the lord, they just called my flight.
I’m off. See you chaps tomorrow.
Steve
By: srpatterson - 8th May 2004 at 15:36
Stop it Geoff, that’s just downright hooliganism.
The V1 ramp isn’t a toy.
Well, so much for having any fun on this trip.
Quick, somebody distract Rob…
“Robbo…Hotdog!!! That’s good, just walk this way…”
By: von Perthes - 8th May 2004 at 15:19
I wonder if Kev’s wheelchair will fit on the V-1 launch ramp? Instead of the raffle, we could each guess how far he will go, nearest one wins the prizes. Double points if he lands upright. 😀
