Duxford this Sunday (Malteser anyone?)

Right, time for a new thread on this.

Who is coming?

Where are we meeting?

At what time shall we meet?

…If anyone has a barf bag or two from their ATC days could they please bring them along?

regards,

No problem, I’ll steal some little bags from BA on the flight tonight…unless I keep drinking this cheap booze in the airport lounge, in which case I’ll probably need them for me.

Wish this flight were over, I’m bored out of my mind.

Geoff.

Geoff,

Do I get to run around with my arms out and make airplane noises! Wrrrmmmmm…Wrrrrrmmmmm….ttttaaaacccccaaaattttaaacccccaaaa 🙂

I’m obviously bored at the airport waiting for my flight. At least BA have got good booze.

See you tomorrow!

Steve

Kev – watch out that Snapper doesn’t volunteer to give you a piggy-back ride instead…

Hey!
Does that mean Snapper and I can have ‘Kev35 wheelchair up the AAM Ramp’ races?

If you’d like a lie down Kev, I’m sure a fully castoring hospital bed can be found…

Glad you are coming old bean!

All being well I shall be in attendance on the morrow. I’m a bit worried about coming actually as Snapper has already volunteered himself for wheelchair duties. If anyone has a barf bag or two from their ATC days could they please bring them along?

I’m easy to recognise, I shall be, as Geoff says, seated with a decidedly green tint to my visage and a nervous twitch and will repeatedly be saying things like “That’s not Snapper over there is it? Where’s my medication? I need a lie down now…….”

Steve,

The BBC weather forcast (at the moment) for Cambridge tomorrow is ‘cloudy’, with a max temp of 57 degrees F, min of 51 degrees F.

At least no rain is forcast.

Stay away from me you bugger. I don’t want you giving me SARS.

My peanut brittle isn’t. Having recooked it it looks right but is a sticky toffee rather than a brittle one. Still, you can all have a bit anyway. It’s very nice – but I totally messed up the pan when I left it boiling water for the steam to take off the remaining toffee and forgot about it. 2 hours and a house full of smoke later I was left with a lengthy job.

Thanks for that Geoff, now all I have to do is worry about the weather (and driving on the left).

It’s Saturday morning here in Hong Kong, and I leave for London late tonight. Weather has been a balmy 82-85 degrees Farenheit, so I’ve got all the wrong clothes with me. Andy says I’m going to freeze to death if your weather doesn’t change. Guess I won’t need the shorts.

It’s been a good week here, and I’ve got some amazing China stories for the pub. If you have never been to Hong Kong put it on your list. It’s basically just like London, but with better weather and an asian flair. Very clean and very nice. Now, as for mainland China…well, better save that for tomorrow.

Looking forward to seeing everyone, and spending a week around smelly ole airplanes. Just what the doctor ordered, an airplane holiday!

Cheers,

Steve

PS I’ve got CD’s of the Seafire photos, as well as a DVD video I made of the first flight. I’ll bring the little portable DVD player with me and we can watch it at the Red Lion.

Thought this might be helpful for those who haven’t been to a Forum Meet before.

We’ll attempt to be there for then but as I’m notorious for being late, don’t be surprised.
At least if Andrew-O’s coming, I should be able to see him towering above everybody else.

It is or was on the pan in front of the Superhangar, you won’t miss it. See you there 10.30 or thereabouts then.

If we linger near the Vulcan at 10:30 we might miss the Cambridge Youth Concert Band though.

Where is the Vulcan?
