Forum meet, Sunday 19th September

Hello guys and gals 🙂

Sunday 19th September has been confirmed as the date for our planned get-together at the Grand Venue Cinema, Ramsey, near Huntington.

The programme for the day currently runs like this (circumstances permitting):

2:00pm – Doors open

2:45pm – Film show starts with “Angels One Five”

Then continues with “Dark Blue World” and the “Making of Dark Blue World”

7:45pm – Film show scheduled to end

8.30pm – Reconvene in the “Jolly Sailor” pub, a short walk away and drink place dry.

Other info:

* The nearest place to stay is the George Hotel, High Street, Ramsey, approximately 400 yards from the Cinema. Prices start at around £30.

* Bus services – there is a bus stop outside the cinema. Regular(ish) services from Peterborough and Huntingdon.

* Nearest train stations are – Huntingdon (8 Miles) and Peterborough (12 miles) both of which are on the East Coast mainline.

As far as cost goes, a small contribution to cover the cost of hiring “Dark Blue World” would be much appreciated – should be around the same as one or two pints. The rights-holder of “Angels One Five”, Canal Plus, have very generously agreed to waive their usual charge for showing the film, on the grounds this is a private, non-theatric event, for which I am very grateful.

Is there anything I’ve forgotten, Biggleworth? 🙂

Sooooooooo…who’s coming? 😀

Angels One Five has just been picked-up from Duxford and Ashley’s just been fed with wine… oops!

I know a lot of you lurkers out there may want to come, please do so, response to this thread is not compulsory to attend, it is helpful to gauge numbers though.

There is a bar in the cinema Ashley, it’s closer 😀

😀

Nope, don’t think so Ashley.

I forgot to add:

*Nearest airfield for those wanting to ‘drop-in’ is RAF Upwood/Nene Valley Gliding Club (PPR) – 20 mins walk to the cinema. Conington, RAF Wyton, Chatteris and several farmstrips are also nearby.

It would be good to put some faces to names.
