I do hope this forum is not becoming over-PC in its interpretation of its Code.

Moggy was clearly using the term ‘raghead’ in an ironic sense to make a point.
The rest of you are very naughty boys indeed, and shall have no supper.
Whalebone, if you really feel that strongly then a PM to the Webmaster would be a more positive first step than doing a Meldrew out here on the forum.
Back to the subject of the thread now, if you please.
Thanks

I will go a great deal further, I call for his head…. and on a ruddy sharp spike !!
Double standards rule the day again. 😡
An honourable individual of course would entertain only one course of action but I doubt if we (/I) will live long enough to witness that:rolleyes:

If you can call ragheads, ragheads, can we call pikeys, pikeys?

Ah come on Kev, now you are being really unfair.
There is a world of difference between a gang of ragheads who fly fully loaded aircraft into large buildings and kill more than 3,000 innocent people in a few hours, and a gang of lovable Irish rogues fighting to free the ‘Old Country’ from the yoke of English imperialism who kill more than 3,000 innocent people over twenty years or so (other than in terms of efficiency).
The former should be hunted down and terminated with extreme prejudice, the latter should be given sanctuary, protected from extradition, feted on St Patrick’s Day and be given lots of money to spend on (preferably American built) arms and explosives.
I am surprised you hadn’t realised that.
I can’t say I blame him. I can think of no circumstances under which I’d want to leave the beautiful East Anglian countryside to live in Liverpool again. That makes no difference to the fact that back in the 60s Lennon was who we all (most of us anyway) wanted to be
Moggy
“a gang of ragheads” I am outraged !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First the Swede’s and now………. is nobody safe from these terrible slur’s.
Can we assume then that for “a gang of loveable Irish rouges” it is now safe to use the term *ickey !
Just goes to show that all folk are not born equal, obviously CoC rule 5 only applies to some

Trying to look hip by association.:D
Exactly and how sad that anyone over the age of 30 should want to look “hip”.:(

Leaving politics aside-
He penned ‘Woman’………
……….a beautiful song.:(
He also had a hand in the other song of the same name: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6q3siFNXcc

He was asked to leave over the charge of giving money to Hamas…he’s since been let back in.
I’d make to point out that there is a difference between actions (giving money) and just expressing opinions.BTW: the UK has banned a (very) conservative author from entering the country based on his comments (not actions) about Islam.
I’d be careful about trying to paint other countries as reactionary.
Each country has its sore points.
Excuse me but you asked for a list of people that the US had slung out, I just
gave you one, probably a lot more if I could be arsed to look, how do you figure out that i’m painting the US as reactionary with the answer I gave you:D

Is it surprising when the likes of Geldof and Bono are feted by world leaders, encouraged by supreme oilers Blair and Clinton, and pop stars and actors are made UNESCO ambassadors?

Please provide a list of non-citizen rock stars the U.S. has “slung out” of the country for speaking out on U.S. foreign policy…

I’m pretty sure he would have been slung out of the states soon after the 1st Gulf war started, he was not one for keeping quiet about his beliefs, and quite rightly so. :diablo:

That idiot McCartney is still here despite making an infantile poor-taste joke at the White House.
They all hate the place but love to live and tour here.

Who on earth is making him out to be a saint?Moggy
Those people who use “Imagine” as a model for a pseudo-religion.
Sadly, too many see pop stars as more than they are.
People…read and think on your own. There are libraries full of 2000 years of wisdon…you don’t need to find it on a CD or in “Hello” magazine. Stay out of your local for a night and discover something on your own.
As a wise man once said…”It’s only rock and roll…”
