All part of the show, he immediately drops the aileron and the show commentator pretends he is out of control…well cool! Uses the dihedral affect with rudder to great effect (oh dear the grammar police will probably come down on me now!!) 🙂

That’s Kent Pietsch from Minot, North Dakota. He’s a super nice guy and puts on some of the best airshow performances you will ever see. Back in August I was out in mid-field helping with the pyro during the Abbotsford airshow. Every time Kent would come by, he would get closer and closer to us. I intended to take pictures, but he kept filling up the viewfinder and I always dropped the camera as I was taking the shot. Unfortunately all I have is a lot of blurry pictures of him smiling at me over the nose! Same went for Bud Granley’s Fouga and Harvard routine.

That’s pretty cool indeed, never seen anything like it (not counting the several Piper Cub stunt maniacs out there, shutting down their engine and bouncing off the grass, etc :D)

Took this at Oshkosh, under control, first time I was not too p’eed off about the k nob in the hat!!! 🙂

Even they would have dipped their visors to these French guys though.

I have never seen anything like that before, those guys are mad !

The clip near the end, from the back seat looking forwards gives an idea of the rough air (or is it waves hitting the aircraft !) and i would have fully expected that buffeting to drop the aircraft into the drink at any moment.

I saw the Bucc’s doing some pretty mad stuff years ago,including an airfield attack at Finningley in the late 70’s, the day before the actual show, when they came from several directions, and used the hangars for cover.Even they would have dipped their visors to these French guys though.
