I am – got too many meetings going on and what will get really confusing is the numpties will come into the building and not say what they’re here for!! 😡
And to cap it all off, I have a brainache!
😡 sodding 😡

This week at work hasn’t been crap, it’s just been overwhelming. Started this European role on Monday, first day was in my usual office in MK, then off over here to Brussels yesterday. Still here until tomorrow night, but my boss has now b****red off to Mexico for two weeks, so essentially I’m on my own. 😮 The learning curve ain’t curved at all – it’s a straight line going vertically upwards, but apparently everyone has great faith in my ability to do the job. Blimmin wish I did!!
So, off into a four hour (!!!) meeting in a wee while, sitting listening to my European colleagues talk knowledgably about a subject I so far know nothing about. And I have to take it all in, keep on learning, and eventually devise some plans that are going to make us more effective in what we do and ultimately save us money. Across Europe. So no pressure then, eh? 😮
Anyway, at least now I’m laptop equipped, so when things get a bit mind-numbing I can log on here and talk sh!te with you lot for half an hour. Bless y’all. 😀

Well, back to work again! Had two days off with a migraine (which I think I got from Robbo somehow!), and I’m expecting a good old-fashioned moan from my line manager…!!

One sh!t week, just refer to the Hysterical forum to see what news I got today.
To top that we had to have our poor old dog put to sleep last Saturday, 16 years we’d had her.
Already posted on Hysterical forum re the news you got today.
So, very, very sorry to hear the news about your dog. Had to do same thing three weeks ago with our beloved family dog who was 13. Still gutted, we had him since he was 12 weeks old and he has left a gaping hole in our family.

I PM’d Snapper earlier and told him that I have fair reason to believe that it’s somesort of political crackpot. The nearby synagogue was daubed with the same cr@p a few months ago, and I’ve been told that one of the local observation towers has been spray painted as well recently.

Ian, just seen it. Bloody hell mate, what makes people do something like that? That’s awful. 🙁
If anyone’s wondering what Ian means, look at this… http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/showthread.php?p=442820#post442820

Ian – Haven’t checked hysterical yet, will be there in a minute or so. Hope it’s nowt too serious. Sorry about poor old woofer, sixteens not a bad innings though. My folks lost theirs last year, he was about that age too but his health was going, bless him.
Snapper – yeah, spoke to Sis this evening, both her and Holly Anne are now back home, both doing fine. 🙂
Landyman – cheers for the kind words mate, hope things improve for you at your place.

You think you had a crap day?
Spare a thought for the poor IT guy at my head office who came in to work this morning to find that during the night someone had come in and lifted the ‘main network server’ from right under the nose of the security guard (we think)!
The daily was only saved by the fact that the early edition was made up the night before: haven’t got a clue how the evenings sports edition was going to get sorted – no system link to do the words and pictures then get them to the presses, etc!
Royally screwed my day too.

So I need to travel 200 km to eat a good crab sandwich? I may consider it Snapper. Maybe a visit to the museum too while I’m there. 😉
