Although it is a shame that the Strathallan collection was sold before the Lanc was flown and the Lanc was then damaged in a hanger collapse, we all have reason to be thankful to that collection set up in the early seventies.
Military a/c inc. Spits ML 407, PV 202, NH 904, the Shuttleworth Lysander,Mossie RS 712 (now with Kermit Weeks) and the Hudson at Hendon as well as many civilian thirties types were all acquired by Strathallan when these types were far less appreciated than they are now.
Thanks to them (and to subsequent owners) most of the a/c in that collection are still around for us to appreciate today.
Has anyone written a history of the Strathallan collection?
