I believe that she is now at Duxford – and also something else that’s far more interesting!

How on earth can a spitfire be more interesting than a LA-9, how many LA-9s have you seen fly = i thought not i would rather stick a spit on a pole than OFMCs LA-9

I think Digbys bluffing I think he would use Vaseline:p

and also something else that’s far more interesting!
Whatever it is I hope it doesn’t upset Digby, my PC’s not up to the strain and it wouldn’t sit on a pole too well.: eek:

Is there any danger of finding out what’s the ‘more interesting’ item at Duxford ?
This is starting to smack of a ‘I know something, you don’t’ type conversation. All it needs is the ner ner ner ner at the end !
Come on David, put us out of our misery !!
By: DROPTANK - 10th June 2003 at 11:34
Sorry about that DIGBY not suggesting anything, but it sounds like SNAPPER has upset TFC and thats not good for the rest of us when we visit.
By: AlexisLambert - 10th June 2003 at 11:23
How many Typhoons are there? Hmmmmmmmmmm ONE.
And how many ’51’s are there? Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm OOPS just made a mess of myself.
You can never have enough beautifully coloured Mustangs. As for boring old green and brown/grey camauflaged things, well MH434 is all i need to see.
By: DIGBY - 10th June 2003 at 11:15
Droptank I hope you are not connecting me with TFC as I only wish I was a volunteer I do admit though I am mechanically minded ” I screw up most things ” I was indicating what I heard and that it was not direct from TFC as for mounting on the pole now that was not hearsay you can take that as read:D 😀 😀 😀
By: DROPTANK - 10th June 2003 at 11:02
Sounds like SNAPPER has upset TFC,that does not help any of us
when we visit again.
Always a few mess it up for the rest!!!
By: DIGBY - 10th June 2003 at 10:55
To Snapper and Ant Harrington it sounds to me that you two need sticking on top of a pole and I don’t use vaselene and snapper your Media badce trick won’t so I am told won’t work in Hangar two again at Duxford:D 😀 😀 😀

I’ll enjoy having a look for the mystery extra on Sunday when I’m off to the Fathers Day Spitfire event at Duxford (as mentioned by Ashley on a previous thread).
Another reason to enjoy the Museum !
Cheers,
Andrew

With the alleged problems for the NZ restored P40, will the NZ restored La-9 run into similar difficulties? Is it NZ or UK registered?
By: DROPTANK - 10th June 2003 at 09:15
Come on MR BURKE what is more interesting than a LA-9 or a TF-51 and has arrived at duxford in the last 2 days,we are all on the edge on our seats here.
By: Mark V - 10th June 2003 at 01:07
Good grief!! I have now cancelled your expenses paid courses at Stallion 51.
By: Ant.H - 10th June 2003 at 00:18
Agreed there Snapper, the TF51’s are possibly the ugliest Mustangs around, and I have to say the Friedkin example is particularly so.Ah well,it makes a nice noise anyway, and it seats two! 🙂
By: Snapper - 10th June 2003 at 00:09
Whats so great about a TF51 anyway? Looks crap to me. Stick it on a pole I say.
By: Ant.H - 10th June 2003 at 00:07
MORE interesting than an La9???Hmmm…shipment from NZ..what warbirds are in NZ…Rata perhaps??A Yak-3/La9/I16 trio would be somethin else!
