Is it just me?
For a few days I had been looking at Steve Hatton’s new Avatar.
A grass field and a bit of sky with possibly an aircraft in the murky distance.
A bit ‘tame’ thought I. Today it sprang into life and a Lancaster over flew.
Pretty impressive – I want one, I want one – only joking, but how do you do that Steve?

I haven’t seen any of them, but I do have “play animations” disabled somewhere in the bowels of Internet Explorer.
As long as you haven’t changed any settings they should be visible.

Still all static for me. Hmm.
Pest control – Anti-spam – Pop ups?
A puzzle.
Anybody else with static Steve Hatton Avatar?

ok, here goes…
1. Rightclick on image and ‘Save Picture As’
2. Save it to a place on your harddrive like in ‘My Documents’
3. Click on ‘user menu’ on the top bar of this forum
4. Go to ‘Edit Options’
5. At the bottom of the page it should say avatar, -no. Click on -yes and it will take you to the avatar options.
6. Now select ‘use custom avatar’ and click ‘Browse’
7. Search on your HDD the file you just saved and click OK.
8. Now click ‘Save Changes’ and come back into the forum via the ‘Key Publishing Ltd Forums > Historic Aviation >’ tab above…
and voila!

probably because you pressed ‘stop’ or the page stopped loading for an unkown reason. Just click ‘resfresh’ and they will work again. 🙂

I’d love to join in this new trend, but I would need one of you experts to enlighten me first – how do you ‘get it on’!

Have I just inadvertantly started a trend which will induce headaches across the forum?
