I saw on the News last night, some Pillock in Westminster has given the Elderly,some advice, as to how to keep warm this Winter and who are worried about the hike in gas and leccy prices, to put layers of clothing on, live in ONE room, and put the heating on at night.
Why don’t they cut some of the taxes they impose on the Utility bills, and hammer the suppliers, and sod the shareholders.
Just what Planet do they live on?.

Well, if they declined a Pay rise, it may placate some, but with what they get now, plus allowances, and exes, they should have a 3 or 4 yrs Pay freeze, let them suffer for a change.

Yes, we have been over all this ground before, but I too resent their cavalier attitude to their own remuneration. They do not decide of course – an independent body now does, but wouldn’t they rise in our esteem if they turned down any proposed increase?

As you say Chas, we are both of the age where we have seen all the parties in, and who failed to keep their pre electorial promises. They ALL blame the previous Party for the state of the Nation.Yet do very little to address these faults.
What Pees me off, is despite all this, they have the cheek to be giving themselves yet another pay rise.
Put em all on the minimum wage and see how they manage, I know that some do a good job, but there is a lot of dead wood that needs the chop.
Ahhh, Nothing like a good rant on a Saturday.

They tell us to save for our Old Age, and I did, however the Bas****s are taking it away from us by hiking every thing up.
D’you know they are talking about giving themselves yet ANOTHER pay rise. I wonder if it will be the same as the 2p pension rise I got this year??
One rule for them, and none for us.
And they expect that we will vote for them in the next Election.?…………………….:D……………Beware the wrath of the Silver Surfers.

You don’t have to worry ! Everyone on the telly and many on this Forum tell us that Man Made Global Warming is going to fry us. Do I worry that the wheel has turned full circle and the WW2 deprivation that I grew up with and thought I’d left behnd has arrived again to hit me behnd the ear ? No ! I do not and neither should you Jim. We’ve got MMGW as our comfort blanket.
We’ll all be lobbying for air conditioning sometime soon.
