Where is this?

Can anyone identify where this airfield is? The picture was taken in the 60s. I have purposely cut the aircraft out of the picture so people don’t just give the answer of where it was based!

Thanks,

Jon.

Aaah air races, the Kings cup was mainly ran from Coventry 54-66, Tollerton(deff not this photo) 67-68. Other main race was the National Air races that were at Halfpenny Green 66-69. I still can work out what the type is either!

How about this one then, does anyone recognise these fuel pumps?

From looking at various Halfpenny Green photos it is looking promising. They had air races there in the 70s (although I was told the photo was 60s?).

Robbelc could be a winner!

I wish I could give you a clue, I don’t actually know thats why I’m asking.
I don’t think its Coventry, as there would be 3 lines of hangars.

It may have been taken at one of the air races in the 60s. Does anyone have a list of where/when they were?

Is it Civil or military, come on give us a clue. Its not Biggin as there were not 2 parallel lines of T2’s. Might be Coventry or Half Penny Green, its certinally not any civil frield in Southern England.
