Women – what the hell makes them tick?

Serious question, this. What the hell goes on in womens minds?

Reason I ask is because the ‘delightful’ Catherine became my ex this afternoon. Accompanied by all the cliche’s:
“It’s not you, it’s me…”
“You’re too nice…”
“I’m not ready for a relationship yet…”

Yet she instigated it all, and now when she’s found someone who won’t shaft her over, she backs away. What the hell goes through their minds???

Meanwhile, I’m back to flying with an empty right hand seat… 🙁

Sorry to hear it Steve.
No idea what makes ’em tick. Still trying to work out why Moira puts up with me.

tomorrow I’m off to Clacton for more Cubbage. And you all know how much I adore the Super Cub…

Track westwards up the coast towards the Blackwater, at Colne Point turn North, follow the river up past Brightlingsea and Wivenhoe, half a mile further on do a couple of wide circuits over the next village to your port side and I will be the bloke waving a pint of Spitfire at you from the rear terrace of the Anchor on the waterfront at Rowhedge :D:D:D

Call in on your way home Steve. I’ll stand you one !

Sometimes I really think women are from a different planet. Guess, yes, I’ve had some troubles the past few days. Now my problem was: she wanted to have a guy who had a driver’s license, a car, and if possible, a house. The only thing I could offer her was love and sarcasm. My god, she’s 21 and she’s dreaming about some stupid Volkswagen Jeep????!!!! I thought men were supposed to be macho, but this beats everything. I didn’t even graduate yet, don’t expect me to have maid plans for my future life. Still, I’m quite hurt (and offended) and yesterday I picked up smoking again. I know I shouldn’t but still. 😡 😡

Not here mate. Viking coastline this. The heart of the Danelaw. Rape and pillage is restricted to weekends after 6pm now of course (or before 8am) but that’s primetime anyway.

And drag her back to your cave by her hair?
Maybe that works with French girls, Snapper, but in Britain things are done slightly differently…

If she thinks you’re too nice, smack her one. Chin the ungrateful tart. Then show her what she’ll be missing.

Go on, you know she’ll love you for it.

It’s a funny world…a good friend of mine is in her early 30s, and hasn’t had a serious relationship for over 5 years…why? Your guess is as good as mine, she’s pretty but not vain, a good listener, thoughtful, giving, and a good laugh…But for some strange reason the only guys she attracts are the nasty boys who only want a one night stand or a “relationship” based around sex and nothing else

When I was in my early thirties I kept trying to attract the sort of women who only wanted a one-night stand or a relationship based on sex and nothing else

And my twenties, come to think about it. 😮

Er… and my forties 😉

Steve…I think it’s not just a female thing…unfortunately there are members of both genders (nearly wrote species then, but maybe that’s not far off :D) who act in a way that is completely unfathomable to others – I know I’ve met a few. From the examples of the cliches used, it sounds to me like she’s one of these women who just gets bored with a guy – not because HE’S doing anything wrong, but because they like the thrill of a new experience, and when the newness (dunno if that’s a real word, but it is now ;)) has worn off, the excitement and the buzz has gone, so in their mind they need to move on a find a new thrill (Phew, lots of words, hope that made sense :D)

But seriously Steve…if the best reason for the split she can give is “you’re too nice”, then maybe in a way, you are – therefore you deserve better than that, and I really hope you find someone who deserves you as much as you deserve her.

You mean something like a time bomb!!! Could explain the frequent explosions with no apparent warning or reason (or is that just the ones I’ve met over the years???)

exactly!

I wish. 🙂 Still, as my dear old mate JN-4 pointed out to me yesterday, tomorrow I’m off to Clacton for more Cubbage. And you all know how much I adore the Super Cub… Catherine’s just gonna be a distant (but still rather lovely) memory… 😀

Ah but you never know when a horse may find you!!!!

Sorry to hear the news Steve, hope things work out for you.

As for what makes them tick, I don’t think that will ever be found out, for goodness sake they don’t even know themselves. Wierd bunch women!!!!
