No detailed line drawings, but plenty of photos. I can bring them over or scan them, Glen? Just to prove there were TWO Blue Diamonds T.7s, here they are at Farnborough in September 1962. Nearest is XL571/V with XL605/T behind. As XL577 is closest to XL571, suggest it is coded ‘V’ ? :rolleyes:

They didn’t have any two-seaters in that scheme!

Nice Idea. A unusual paint sheme would definetly be noticed. But I hope to see a real Hunter in Blue Diamonds livery in the sky. (That would be a change if I compare it to the one I got in flightsimulator)

XL577 Air Test

XL 577 did fly again, for the first time in over 23 years, first solo sortie was three rollers and control handling, flown by Chief Pilot Andy Cubin, and the second flight was a full airtest with Andy Cubin again at the controls and Chief Engineer, Alan Ponting, as the observer, showing his confidence in the workmanship. There were a couple of minor snags but they will be easy to rectify. Great stuff! Its wonderful to have another thoroughbred in the air. Hope to put some pictures up soon, but I’m sure Glen will beat me to it!.

Ronan Harvey heard the flight over his PA’s mobile phone and was absolutely ecstatic. His reaction was ‘Tell all the boys very well done, the drinks are on me’. He was, unfortunately, not able to be there to see his new toy get airborne, but was kept informed throughout.
