The Beaufighter’s still a long way off completion. Its intended to be a restoration to flight. I did read somewhere that the project has rather stalled, but others who are better informed will know more.

Priceless.

Just keep ’em coming like this one.

Stephen Grey flew ML417.

Painted out the invasion stripes with water wash paint.

Soon as he came back to Duxford they were washed off and she flew off to wrougton,with Hoof at the controls.

How long was the Hurri at ARC having the ‘major’ – anyone know?

It flew in 18 October last year.

Kevin Eldridge was injured in the bail out- he hit the tailplane on the way out but is still flying historic aircraft.

As i recall the planes of fame guys bulldosed the wreckage into a big hole and had a BBQ party on the site.

Some small trinkets of the super Corsair are still with us though……….

I would think it has something to do with cost !!!!

Mmmm.

I have been told that many years ago a bomb group assn.( forget which one )offered sponsership to have the aircraft repainted in an authentic scheme.

They were turned down.
