I hate to say this but i have to agree with Digby.

Its to early to start saying how long it will take to re build

Even if a rebuild is on the cards i think 18 months is a rather shallow statement to make

Getting back to the original question,WoGB had a Mk 16 Spitfire RW386 which went to Historic Flying in there early days,it was sister ship to HFLs first rebuild RW382 as they both flew with the same squadron.

It was not completed,but was painted in the codes NG-D

I remember seeing it at audley end,but can,t think why work was stopped

I suspect she is at weald in a box with the others,which include a very nice P-40.

I did get talking to some bloke cleaning the Spit 14 he was very helpful

His english was bad though
