When i was doing FMS i saw some charts of Iran (had to put in some airports around the nuclear facility, obviously not in the AIP but quoted to exist by other sources) and it the geography of the area just amazes also they are not worried about fighter aircraft when they bought this system they were mainly looking at cruise missiles. Maybe the shafaq and the F-14s for them seem capable enough.
