If you can, wait another half year or so till the next Canon EOS generation comes out. The airshow season is nearly over anyway.
Currently there is the EOS 350D, which was only a minor upgrade to the EOS 300D. The next version should be a good improvement and my guess is lots of people will sell their EOS 300Ds and upgrade to the next model. The EOS 300D is undoubtedly the most popular digital SLR out there and with 6.3 MP it’s a very nice camera – especially for the price. You should be able to get your hands on one really cheap in a few months time.

The 350D is more then a minor upgrade of the 300D!

as for second hand digicams its never a good idea you might as well buy a bran new old model. Their are too many things that can go wrong with Digi-SLR’s and to be honest unless you are forking out for a second hand S3 pro its not even worth it.

wait and get the 350! dont even think of buying a Nikon they are always a generation behind Canon .. Also look out for Fuji sensors on other cameras.

Better yet get your self a nice film SLR

I think so , it was a german design in the 1960 before the F-4 was pushed onto them. But one of the engines was a rocket engine

I thought it was the F-16 that was the by product of the failing F-4’s during vietnam and that the F-15 was over designed and stressed (at that time) because before any defections occured when the West first saw a Mig-25 and saw all the Climb records it was breaking they were of the opinion that the Mig-25 was a demi-god and one of the best fighters in the world whilst the Russians only designed the Mig-25 for one purpose and that was to counter the Valkarie/A-12(15 cant remember arggh!) bomber. So even the airframe of the Mig-25 wasnt stressed to more then 6g to save on weight.

And wasnt it because of this percieved threat and a congressional report or something at that time that put in motion the US industry into making the F-15 (which truely was better aircraft in all ways then the Mig-25 the west had thought the Russians had)

From the artist conceptions, that’s precisely what they’re doing. Not that it’s a surprise of course…that’s a Russian tradition going back to the Tu-4 at least. Funny how those “inferior American designs” seem so attractive to Russian engineers. 😀

What about India.. If India buys an F-16 or F-18 can it fit with israeli avionics and weapons…

what is the point in fitting Israeli avionics and weapons when they will be us based anyways?

Look at all the composites work going to places like malaysia! India could have tapped into that as a supplier and gained the respect/confidence of others in the industry who would contemplate doing research with them!

As it is now , no one even thinks about subcontracting Indian companies unless it is FEA analysis or something.

Reverse engineering is not the way for india! its patent laws and lack in enforcement there already come under some scrutiny it does not need to put itself in such a position that no nation will trust to sell it weapons or work with it as a partner in advanced project! on the contrary it needs to buckle down and show a very honest face to the world!

A lot of Aviation bussiness in general is out their Indian industry has to look like a professional face that can take advantage of this.
