    USN will slowly phase out navy carrier because of threats presented by Anti ship cruise missile

    fair enough.. i went into jessops to get the 70-300 sigma APO super macro none of their branches seem to stock that glass.. ended up getting tamron 1:2.8 SP AF macro

    1) Tony blaire out of power
    2) defence ministry realises Fubar and cancels EFA orders Rafale or Gripens
    3) spends more money on the Army and Navy
    4) LCA carries on trundling along while the IAF look towards Gripen with tech transfer and fabrication licenses (i wish!! )
    5) Canada sells SUBS back to the UK at a larger cost to the UK because UK realises its cuts are too big.

    I thought Australia was in Indonesia, has it not given aid i am suprised i mean it was the first to jump at the chance of liberating land from Indonesia not so long ago.

    Blackcat doesnt matter how the aid gets their.. i know what you mean their are agencies that try to convert religions etc etc but not really a big point at this time.. people need aid.

    and what the F are those mor$ns arguing about (oki sorry but its first time on here i called anyone a name) stupid politicians lynch them!

    on the Su-39 subject why is it exactly bad to put on air to air missiles on them? the Jaguars have Aim-9L ‘s and Mica’s dont they ?

    a bit of insurance doesnt hurt !

    The Su-39 sniper aircraft Is Intended to operate In Air-to-Air and Air-to-Surface modes and to implement the missions, perfomanse of which by ofher strike facticl purpose platforms Is almost Impossible.
    On Customer request, the aircraft can be equipped with imported avionics.
    The Su-39 peculiar features:

    Round-the-clock performance at active counteraction of the enemy air defense, under simple and adverse weather conditions; sighting through the on-board optical-television 23-times zoom system or through the radar sighting device:
    – detection and destruction of moving targets such as tanks, speed boats or helicopters with 0,9 probability;
    – autonomous detection and destruction of warships, from high-speed boats and up to torpedo-boat destroyers;
    – destruction of modern air defense platforms in any of their operation modes;
    – Self protection against fighters and Air-to-Air close combat;
    – High maneuverability at low and medium altitudes;
    – Operation from mountains airfields with runway elevation up to 3000 m;
    – Almost 100 % protection of pilots and all vital aircraft systems against destruction by 30 mm caliber of cannon armament and its splinters.
    The Su-39 aircraft provides application of the following:

    `Air-to-Surface` weapons:

    – Missiles with laser homing with accuracy 0,5 m at targets up to 10 km away and universal aircraft weapons
    – antitank guided missile `Vihre` (16 pieces);
    – Antiship, antiradar and TV-homing missiles;
    – Corrected bombs with TV-homing.

    `Air-to-Air` weapons:
    – Close-in and long-distance missiles with active and semi-active seekers; with IR-guidance seekers.
    Unguided weapons:
    – Bombs, rockets and built-in cannon of 30 mm caliber.

    I am also getting a 2x Converter for it as well so that should make it sufficient.

    Camera Used is a Canon EOS10d

    you dont mind loosing two stops ? its a beautiful lense you have and very fast why do you want to loose the 2 stops?

    Well for all of those photographs i used a 75-300USM MKII lens. However I have now just got a Sigma 70-200 f2.8 for christmas so all shots in 2005 will be taken with this lens. But yes for those shots i used a 75-300USM MKII lens.

    why did you go for the 70-200 ? will 112-320 equivilence be enough for airshows?

    yeah it was from my Dimage Z2 they videos i have if i remember properly are from the Royal jordanians, the Lancaster and one of the red arrows, althought it was hard to follow fast jets .. hmm i dont mind emailing them to people should be small enough.. (only a few seconds )
