so the lowest bidder will go through?
even a deadline within a time span of a day is delayed!!!!
how long!!!
I guess its delayed, its not on google atleast.
Yeah but the first phase is training of people!
Well Boeing are not in the F-35 project and have been pushing the F/a-18E as a stop gap for the late delivery of the F-35. I would think that their is a big market for a F/A-18E with a new wing, and the F/A-18E is now competing with the Eurofighter and the Rafael and the f-35.
If Japana and India buy the Typhoon maybe BAe will not announce the loss of 3,000 jobs as they are planning to?
is it blackmail again by BAe to put pressure on the government to use all the leverage they can to get contracts? 3,000 jobs would really hit manufacturing! And this would be second time the same sight cut jobs.
Also wonder if Japan will put its technology on the eurofighter…
Have any of you heard any news about the Indian Nuclear Submarine Arihant or its weapons systems or even of the ADS ???
Has their been any progress made?
Wanshan, dont shoot the messenger… not my words i am just quoting.
With regards to the Indian P-8I, how much of the capability of the P-8A will it have? Will it have the capability to tract targets on land as well as see?
I know boeing has launched some videos etc but i am not sure its clear how much of the P-8A’s capability Indian Navy will have.
They will come in these or follow on trials. The Derby is the chosen BVR missile.
What is the RADAR that they will have on it for FOC?
Vikramaditya is 85% complete and should be delivered by end of 2012…
IAF’s FGFA to receive ‘2nd stage engine’ from first deliveries:
Interesting news, but the report is not well written, from the quote it does not sound like the IAF is “seeking” a upgraded or higher power engine, its a reality that they will need it because they have two seats as opposed to the standard 1 seat.
I was wondering when the LCA will be doing trials with BVR weapons, have they already happened? Have I missed the news?
I have read news about it dropping dumb, bombs R-73’s and guided munition but nothing about BVR missiles.
When would these be tested?
The Earth Quake in Sikkim is highlighting a requirement for greater air transport craft as villagers are complaining that the VIP helicopters are stopping aids from landing where it needs and the IAF is not dropping large enough loads of food and aid for villagers near the Tibeten border.
Apparently the comercial bids for the MMRCA are to be opened in mid october…not sure if that is later than planed or not.
Is that actually happening though? This was reported a while ago, and as gar as I know the aircraft are still on a ramp in India somewhere.
hmm that explains the report, it mentioned in the report that the aircraft were handed over but were sitting at a airport in Belarus (maybe the reporter was distracted and put Belarus instead of India?) waiting for a new owner and that because the RuAF and defence ministry will not pay for old aircraft this was the best deal for the Su-30K’s they could find.
