Fantastic news. Finally Abhinandan’s testimony has sealed the fact. One small issue. There may be a couple of testimonies from the other side too. Let’s see if they also seal some facts.

    I give up.

With all due respect. I do not care what Pakistani sympathisers and or citizens/western media who supports Pakistani position have to say. Concurrently that is the position taken by Government of India as well and its about time. Good day.

IAF confirms Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman shot down Pakistan F-16 fighter jet

Top Indian Air Force (IAF) sources have confirmed that Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman shot down a Pakistan F-16 jet on February 27.

Abhinandan had fired an R-73 missile to take out the Pakistan F-16 aircraft before his Mig 21 Bison was hit by an AMRAAM missile. The development now seals the fact that Pakistan had used an F-16 in an offensive role.

Top sources also revealed to India Today TV that Abhinandan was the only IAF pilot who fired a missile during the dogfight. In his last radio transmission before Pakistani Air Force struck his aircraft, Abhinandan confirmed that he had locked on to a Pakistani aircraft.

80% bombs hit target: IAF gives satellite images to govt as proof of Balakot airstrike

The Indian Air Force is learnt to have provided the government with proof that it hit targets in Pakistan’s Balakot during the February 26 airstrike. The IAF has told the government that 80 per cent of the bombs deployed during the daring raid hit their intended targets, top sources within the service told India Today TV.

The Indian Air Force has prepared a dossier to refute the theory that the bombs missed their target. Pakistan has claimed that the bombs led to no significant damage except to trees and forest land.

Pakistan Spooked By Indian Scorpene-Class Submarine On 1st Op Deployment?

On Tuesday morning, several Pakistani mainstream news agencies put out footage shared with them from the country’s military, claiming to be the sighting of an Indian Navy submarine on Monday night. In the sort of typical braggadocio that has come to colour claims of defensive actions from Pakistan’s side, the video was accompanied by the suggestion that Pakistan had somehow ‘thwarted’ the Indian Navy submarine’s attempts to intrude into Pakistani waters. The video began with stock footage of the Indian Navy’s Scorpene-class submarine INS Kalvari, followed by what appeared to be infrared video of a snorkeling submarine, likely taken from a maritime patrol aircraft, possibly a P-3 Orion.

As was stated during the Joint Press Conference on 28 Feb 19, the Indian Navy remains deployed as necessary to protect National Maritime Interests. Over the past several days, we have witnessed Pakistan indulging in false propaganda and spread of misinformation. The Indian Navy does not take cognizance of such propaganda. Our deployments remain undeterred.”

Amid Rise in Tensions, IAF to Equip Su-30MKI with Israeli SPICE-2000 Bombs

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is in the process of equipping its Su-30MKI with Israeli SPICE-2000 laser-guided bombs, as part of its effort to make the fighter jets more potent, sources said.
At present, the IAF’s Mirage-2000 are equipped with the SPICE-2000 bombs and these aircraft were used in the pre-dawn strike on the biggest terror camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) in Pakistan recently

Will they escalate this into a nuclear war

India has a no first use policy and clear conventional superiority. Pakistan aims to counter this by using tactical (battlefield) Nukes. But no first use according to Indian policy does not differentiate between a tactical or strategic strike. India is much larger and can survive a nuclear war with Pakistan albeit with heavy losses. But Pakistan being much smaller is unlikely to survive.

I think both nations lack clear planning as to what to do post a nuclear war. We don’t see bunkers, shelters and policy like what existed in USA or USSR during the cold War. The Russians I belive even had specialised troops ready to invade post nuclear strikes. Because of all this and the high population an India Pak nuclear war will be the biggest disaster to have befallen humanity in the last few centuries perhaps even worse then the two great wars in terms casualties.

IAF junks Pakistan’s claim of shooting down Sukhoi-30 fighter jets

False claim by Pakistan of shooting down a Su-30, appears to be a cover up for the loss of its own aircraft.,” the IAF said in a statement.

The air force said the deployment of F-16 by PAF and multiple launches of the AMRAAM (advanced medium range air to air missile) were conclusively observed by the Indian military.

“Prompt and correct tactical action by Su-30 aircraft, in response to AMRAAM launch, defeated the missile. Parts of the missile fell in area East of Rajouri in J&K, injuring a civilian on ground. Detailed report in this regard has already been released by IAF,” the statement added

Yes yes, Reuters, Western diplomats and their own western intelligence agencies are now in Pakistan’s pocket.

Mostly yes because they want to avert war at any cost. Saving Pakistani face infront of the world goes a long way when it comes to descalation.

The Indian perspective is that we have been fighting a proxy war for decades now. From now on the response will be real.

To those who say all India Pakistan wars have been fruitless, no they have not been. India does not have to deploy forces on the Eastern border with Bangladesh anymore, that’s a result of the 71 war.

It is funny going by what people are quoting the Indian ACM on

    “We don’;t count casualties”

“If we did not strike anything why did they strike back”

“I think they lost an F-16 against us”

Just simply does not sound like a man exuding confidence and certainty in what his force has achieved, could be me, but coming across like someone who is reluctantly backing up the politicians here….

It doesn’t need to. Especially to trolls like you. We don’t care what you or paid for western media think

    And reported

Do what you want. These are not my words but from a reputed Indian website. I have not posted anything just passing on the news. If news sources are banned then all of them should be banned.

The response to a news item is another news item refuting the claim. This is the IAF News thread, and what I posted is IAF News.
