How bizarre! ๐
With the absolute utmost respect, Jeanske is Belgian and I think his English is excellent – especially given his age. I think his grammar (correct spelling) is very good and I believe he may have been criticising (correct spelling) the lack of punctuation. No punctuation whatsoever can make a post very difficult to read or understand sometimes. I would agree with him on this occasion.
Anyway, thanks to all for their kind words on this thread. Paris is indeed a great city and I hope to visit it again, but for longer next time.
Love that EI livery of yours Sandy. Better than what they’ve got at the moment. ๐
Great flight report Kabir. I’d love to experience SQ and especially if it were to Oz. Do you go back to Oz soon or are you back in India for a while?
This might sound silly, but I would be terrified if I had to go on a Northwest DC10. It’s not because of anything to do with the aircraft itself, it’s just that years ago, when I still lived in Scotland and when NW flew GLA/BOS, I had a dream that I was on a NW DC10 that crashed on take-off at GLA. It kind of worried me for a long time! ๐ฎ
Wannabe Pilot
Don’t your dare stop posting pics on here, ya hear me???!!! ๐
Your photos are always class and I for one love seeing them EVERY time. The ATR in the new Aurigny livery is looking lovely. I love their new livery and the ATR was a good choice of aicraft for Aurigny’s operation, in my opinion.
Regards,
Dean.
Obviously, there is no set price, Shamrock, but we got easyJet’s lowest non-sale fare of just less than ยฃ34 return including taxes, per person. Bloody bargainous in my opinion! ๐ ๐
I’m off to BUD from STN on Thursday for 4 days, flying SkyEurope. Apart from their liveries, anyone know anything about them? What are they like, service-wise?
If they think they are called American Airways  , then I suspect it’s Continental who are the likely contenders! ๐
I agree with keeping the original spelling of place names such as Kรถln, Mรผnchen etc, but it’s not just the english language that is guilty of it, In Dutch, London becomes Londen and Paris becomes Parijs, in Spanish and French, London becomes Londres and Edinburgh becomes Edimburgo in Spanish – where did that ‘m’ come from!!??
Isn’t it even more annoying, Sandy, that Kรถln Airport got the code CGN – presumably from the English spelling?
I love that Monarch photo – what a photographer! ๐
Although, I do like that GB Airways one too! A couple of beauties!
Great report Dean, Paris is on my must visit list, especially with Jet2 now flying there from my local.
One thing missed out of the report…….. What did you think of Easyjet?
๐
I always quite like flying easyJet. The cabin crew are allowed to be themselves, as far as a sense of humour goes and it does make a difference to how passengers take to them. On our return flight, they dimmed the cabin lights and mentioned that the reading lights should be used if needed. Within seconds, there were about 10 cabin crew bells pressed (instead of the light buttons) and one of the stewardesses announced over the p.a. system that they “should use the button with the lightbulb on it for the reading light”. A big laugh happened throughout the cabin. Nice and light-hearted. Well done easyJet. ๐
We did go to the Eiffel Tower, Chris, and to Notre Dame but the Sacrรฉ Coeur will be on the list for next time. The Eiffel Tower was most impressive and I really wouldn’t mind going to the top next time. Yesterday there were THOUSANDS of Perpignan rugby fans all around the tower, so a visit to the top didn’t happen on this occasion.
I did notice too that the Metro trains had rubber tyre on the wheels and thought it looked a bit strange
Nice shots mate. Good to see Monarch’s G-OZBB there too! ๐
One of my favourite photos on A.net. I posted it on here about a year ago too. Fantastic to see it again. God bless the North Sea Wind! ๐
