Well, as St. George was actually Turkish born, then there is no need for anyone to be offended, apart from perhaps the English themselves! 😀

I’m a sucker for views like that Isle of Wight aerial pic – bloody lovely! Well done that photographer.

My local airport is LTN – aka easyAirport – have a wild stab in the dark what the most common aircraft type is! Aye – it’s the wee 737 aswell.

Well, it seems you actually can’t delete threads, even if you are the author. That’s a real shame – especially in the case of this thread, most ironically!!!:D

    I’ll get me coat!

Well if that’s the case, then that’s that idea buggered!!!:D 🙂

Can anyone confirm if deleting posts is now no longer available to us?

    Wysiwyg

I was about to reply to your post with a suggestion about deleting threads that have become ruined by silly or bitchy posts, but I have started a new thread instead. This is on the back of your suggestion for trying to keep the peace a bit more. I hope you don’t mind.

    Bhoy

I think it’s only the number of posts that wysiwyg suggests getting rid of – not displaying the user names.

I also agree with getting rid of the number of posts – it’s unimportant to those posting – perhaps more useful to the moderator(s) – so as long as he/they can see the details then…..

I’ve never flown it myself Mark, but I imagine that any flight from Edinburgh or Glasgow to Inverness or even further north, such as Wick, Orkney, Shetland would give some spectacular views of the Highlands and co. Likewise, I’d love to fly from Inverness/Stornoway or on the Glasgow/Barra run.

I’m far from being a Whisky connaisseur, but anything that’s spelt Whisky and not Whiskey will do me!!:D

    OH WOW!!!!

Those photos describe perfectly, exactly why Scotland is my favourite country and always will be. I consider myself one of the luckiest people alive to have been born there. I was already looking forward to going back home for 10 days next Thursday but now I simply cannot wait. Wingflaps2 is coming with me and we’re going to spend most of it doing a grand tour of the mainland. Unfortunately, we won’t make it to the islands – but I feel next year’s summer holiday being planned already.

For anyone who’s never been to Scotland – you don’t know what you are missing! It isn’t all cold, wet and snow – but even when it is, it just makes it all the better!! When I moved to the South East of England, I really began to appreciate Scotland and just how beautiful it is – God, I miss the hills and mountains 😀

A great big “Ta!” Allen. I’m in the mood of a dram noo!

    Dean.
