The La-7/9 look-a-like, is it the Polikarpov I-185?
Batch 1, no.3. Is it Japanese? I can’t think of any other Russian types, if it’s NOT an LA-7/9.
Batch 3 no.4 has got that Bristol look about it.. 🙂
[Edit: whoops, Westland Limousine II it is.] 😮
Third photo of the first batch, La-9 or -11
Looks like it stil has the ventral radiator, so my guess would be La-9, or La-7. Plus it appears to still have the cannon through the spinner, which would suggest possibly an La-7. The La-9 had all it’s guns mounted in the upper cowling.
Top right is an Ekranoplan – can’t give you the exact type at the moment though…
It’s the Bartini VVA-14.
IIRC, RN SSNs done away with their LACM ability years ago.
News to me if they have. IIRC, the RN SSNs, or at least one of them, was involved in the initial assault on Afghanistan with Tomahawks less than 2 years ago.
Ok guys only no.3 and no.7 to go. Well done!
Correct on 2 and 6 Steve. 🙂
BTW wasn’t there a AIM-54 succecor for the NATF called AIM-152 AAAM/AICMD
Yes. http://www.designation-systems.net/dusrm/m-152.html
A good site for experimental types:http://www.airwar.ru/xplanee.html
Could it be this one? The Snakeye?

It’s understandable when you think about it. They [MiG-RSK] don’t want to be left out of the future fighter market when the MiG-29 is no longer a viable option. Their very existence in future could rely on this 5th gen design. It would not surpirse me to see the RuAF in future buying both to complement each other. The Russians have a habit of doing that.
Shigeo Koike for me…
Blast – yes the Yak-200. Good one Spiteful21! Well that didn’t last as long as I thought. Something tougher next time…… 🙂
Gee, you guys are too quick! Only the 6th one to guess now. 😮
No.3 is the Argentinian Huanquero (probably spelt wrong).
Good one Steve! 😀 You guys are good. But you still have a couple to go. 🙂
