Very nice shots! Thanks for posting them,

Might I suggest trying over on the WIX board to see if you might be able to meet up with someone in that area. I’m about 2-3 hour drive from the area you will be (Albany NY). Most of us Yanks would be more that happy to help or 9 weeks be enjoyable if we can.

I guess Iโll confess to my legos in my basement. I have several addictions in my life and they seem to have blended together at certain points.

Given the startling realism – and sheer beauty – some some of WETA’s stuff, I’d go with them for the CG stuff.
But that’s just me ๐
I’ll second that. I think WETA picked up where Lucas fell behind. But most of all keep Hollywood away from it.
First off, thanks for the help getting me an ID on this aircraft.
Second, Iโm a bit sorry that I was not able to follow the original post with some missing info that I had. Not that it slowed anyone down at all. The Provost had some marking on the other side, what was readable was the numbers โ495โ. The rest was covered up. So it looks to be confirmed as WV495. Thanks for the help.
Anyone know the plans for the aircraft? Seems like a bad idea to have it exposed in such weather.
Yes, the Privateer will be a flyer. ๐
Seems like a Band-Aid verses a fix.
But it is nice that she will be flying again for the next 3 months.
Great Pics. Looks like a good show. Was that sunshine and blue sky you had there as well?
It was very sunny once the front moved out of the area. The weather prevented a few corsairs from showing up and I heard one had engine problems.
It was a good time. Anytime 5 Corsairs are together its a good day!
I’ll bump this back up with a link to my picts. I wish I could have been in the nose of the B-25J, but as the saying goes, I’m just a bird that can’t fly. ๐ฎ
I guess I can use this as a platform to for some of my pictures form the Mid Atlantic Air Museum in Reading PA. They had their WW2 weekend on June 3rd โ5th.
Included is a Photo tour of the P2V-7 they have. I think that is at lest 12 pictures.

Just go to the Last page, its marked MAAM WW2 Weekend 2005. I can’t access the page at work or I’d post the direct link, Sorry.
I think Joe Foss should be on this list, He made a really good showing for most of his Kills beiingin a F4F in the early days of the war (For the US at lest). Most likely the Leading Marine air ace and from everthing I’ve read and heard a Really Great Man.
My computer (dial up wasn’t working too well) So I could not post. I tried a couple times.
But B-17F N17W will always be a flyer in my heart.
United Stateโs Naval Historical Center
Keep it in salt water forever policy.
That is a FHC in Washington State (USA) aircraft, correct?
Nice
Thanks for posting, thanks for allowing them to be posted!
