David,
Excellent pics – I was at the show on the Sunday only having arrived from the Uk on Saturday. Excellent show with some spirited flying displays that would give the authorities here a real shock. The 737 formation was a real highlight but the stars were the Hunter / Lightning / Buccaneer.
Only downside was the mud! as the crowd line area was a little wet to say the least.
my mistake – it was the Villeneuve one I was thinking of when Schumacher was driving for ferrari.

Ok – now I know what they are. Have used the self service check-in at various locations but they only really save anything when travelling with hand luggage as this negates the need to visit a ‘fast bag drop’. The last time I used them was at LHR T1 when flying United – the desk worked fine and I was able to get an upgrade with no real issues but still had to see a person at a desk to get my luggage checked in. Ultimately they have turned a 1 step process of check in into a 2 step one if you have luggage and the majority of people will have luggage.
Yes (along with many others) – the evidence was on ITV – Hamilton had the presence of mind to realise that he might have infringed the law, did what he was supposed to in letting Kimi past thereby negating any perceived advantage. Ultimately no advantage was gained because Kimi crashed out.
Ferrari being able the bend the rules to suit themselves with only the occasional wrist slap has been going on for a long time – do you remember schumacher deliberately drving into Damon Hill and winning the championship as a result. The Massa incident in Valencia – according to the FIA own rules (and the commentary team) the only punishment available should have been a drive through penalty or a 10 place grid drop at the next event – what did Ferrari get – a paltry fine. A drive through would have given the race to Hamilton (undeservedly i admit) yet the 25 second deduction today gave the race to an equally undeserving Massa.
F1 as a sport has lost its credibility when one team is favoured more than another in such a blatent manor.
Suggest you look at the incident and make up your own mind – maybe you will realise why these things are being said. The press tomorrow will make very interesting reading.
This decision must be overturned if the sport is to not become even more of a circus than it already is.

The Ferrari bias is shining very brightly tonight (as usual) – I wonder how much the stewards were paid to make that decision (or if they will be driving new fiats / ferraris in the near future).
This decision just reinforces the belief that by fair means or foul Mclaren and Hamilton will not be allowed to win the title.
Hopefully Mclaren will appeal this decision and get it overturned as it is a travisty and removes what little is left of the credibility of F1 as a sport.

You might get some more replies if you explained what a CUSS kiosk is ? (would guess at a self service check-in?)

I knew an ex Cl44 flight eng – ex Cx as well until his passing a couple of years ago.
My pics I put via photobucket – just open an account there, upload images and it will allow you to create links to those pics that are suitable for use on forums such as this one.
Black Knight – yes it has an Avon 208 as was originally an F4. Ex WV386. I have a few more of the aicraft that I can post when processed.
Look forward to those – the seaplane base (or should that be floatplane) is a very different atmosphere from the main show – less crowded and lower key. Took the boat trip round to see what was there and take pics – good turn out this year but nothing out of the ordinary. Last year there was a B18 & Norseman on the water.
Did you get a close look at the rows of plates and rivets on the 747 – look like there is a new candidate for the description ‘20,000 rivets flying in close formation’
The heritage flights are a popular item as you never know what is going to be in it. Earlier in the week they had a ‘naval’ theme with a T2 Buckeye, F18, Sea Fury and F4 Fury – excellent. (Can provide a pic if required)
Wall-e & Batman – The Dark Knight – open air drive in cinema in USA – excellent fun (but chilly)
