agree 100% with the addictivness of the event – 08 was my 3rd year in a row and am already counting the days until the next one

Robant – who would pay for these facilties ? The only facilites large enough to stage such an event like RIAT are ex / current RAF & USAF bases and these are becoming fewer and fewer as defence cuts / restructuring etc continues. In the last few years we have already lost airbases such as Greenham Common, Upper Heyford, Alconbury all of which used to have regular events.

Very late call on this – there will be a lot of unhappy people tomorrow at Fairford.

Predict that sunday will also be cancelled as 1 day (regardless of wx) is unlikley to make much of a difference.

It is well worth taking a flight in either Tri-motor, bell 47 or the b17 – all are well priced and worth every dollar. i have done all 3 during previous visits but the B17 as it passed over the event was fantastic and if you time it right the nose position offers some great photo opportunities.

What about the mechanic who forgot to put a spacer back on the u/c – oh wait he is french so must be innocent. What about Air France themselves for operating an aircraft that had already had a similar incident a few years before which led BA to strengthen their tanks but not AF.

Remember when you point a finger there are 3 others pointing back at you.

I flew them last year to/from Chicago with onward connection to Appleton and they were ok. Am flying them in a few weeks again on the same route.

Sorry the new look is awful. DM are a good example of how to take a successful website and ruin it. A lot of the people who post there have requested that the old front page be reinstated as there are more important things that need fixing, as usual DM are ignoring the wishes of their customers. Am so glad I have pulled my pics from there.

I think I may have been talking to you at the time as well. Pic 3 has my car & society tent in background.

A real shame but not a total surprise – the airfield was very wet at the last fly-in in April and it has not had a chance to dry out.

    Flight,

I completed your survey but found that the questions with options had no description just a row of ‘tick boxes’
