Hi Olivier

Welcome to the forum – as an amateur historian of 125 Airfield/Wing I was very interested in your photo, taken on 15 December 1943 at Detling, do you hold any other pictures of 132 Squadron at all?

I see you know the subject with perfection !
I have few photos about the Spitfire but understand that this is probably the only one about 132 sqn.
This photo is also depicted on “2 TAF, vol.1, pg 56” with one other about the ceremony.

Thanks. Yes it is the 1/32 and I LOVE Spitfire….

Among other related questions about this kit is the big differences in size between Waldron, MDC, Airscale and Eduard dials compared to the 1/1 original artificial horizon I have. I guess the thickness of the plastic decrease the scale of the panel…
I would go to early IX ( so square flying “blind six”…). So these 132 sqn markings seems not be the good choice…

Sorry Ben but I am new in town…:o
Just wondering how is it possible to make these answers…I guess the s/n is a good way but wich source ?
What is disturbing me is the proposal on the Xtradecal sheet : short carb and early style horn.
There source is “2 TAF, vol1, pg56″….any idea of this book ?

Is it “readable” with the s/n number ?

Hello, It is the GAOA 5 from …

…Tunisia.
This “Observer for Gunnery” squadron n°5 of the “ALAT” ( Light Aviation of Ground Army ) was created in 1956.
