Yes, the weather is bad, (supposed to be Sunny Isle of Wight!)
Can’t see that protusion Flood, I’ve taken a poor pic – and asked Ren Frew if he can post it for me.
……and he’s still circling.
I think it’s an Islander – he’s still there, thats 30 minutes now.
There he goes again – could be an Islander – maybe Bembridge is closed due to the weather.
Good trip! The important aspect of the deal I seem to be promoting(!) is that the ticket is effectively “open” so that one can stay for as long or short a period in each stopover as the mood takes you.
Star Alliance deal starts at £1375 for the lower mileage offer.
The trips quoted above – I have actually made up the itinary and received the Terms and Conditions/Fares is with SQ,VS,and NZ.
Publicised as “The Great Escapade”.
Hopefully might take a trip avoiding USA (perhaps just transit) as I am not prepared to put up with all the hassle that seems to be promised for the furure.
Thats right markkipling – as it’s EAL shouldn’t there be a full stop in there somewhere?:D
Thanks for that:)
Sitting here in my “computer chair” I realise I don’t have my anti-DVT socks on:eek:
An evening session probably equates to a flight to New York!
I’m sure there are many people like me, who having boarded the aircraft at the beginning of the holiday, enjoy being able to relax, have a drink, and cease to worry about overweight baggage, lost ticket/passport,missed connections, etc. That alcoholic drink really goes down well!
However, the whole situation is going to be spoiled if we find ourselves surrounded by drunks. (and I’m not whiter than white – I used to play Rugby too).
So the bottom line is – sad as it may be, no booze on the aircraft and a breath test before boarding.
But it won’t happen, will it?;)
Nine years. London(don’t think it was Heathrow) – AMS, KLM DC3,
AMS – Kano , KLM DC6:p
Excellent report, and shows what can go wrong before and after we use the aircraft!
Had one myself last year, returning from Vienna to LHR, everything fine until we get stacked, then after landing, no coach available to take us from the stand to the terminal (yes. at Heathrow!). Eventually get a bus to the train station, but the train is terminated before Southampton. Get taxi, but miss the ferry home, have to stay in hotel for the night.
😡
Well, I’ll keep my fingers crossed until then! (Next trip on SIA in 8 days).
Actually I’m not too sure what the defence will be. Bung out a few flares, don’t think so. Overcome really modern SAM systems – no way.
Helicopters can’t crash! Wow!
Ryanair did not supply the wheelchair. BAA did not provide the wheelchair. The wheelchair was supplied by a third party service provider who charged Ryanair £18 for the service. Ryanair, having taken £10 from the customer in fares, passed the wheelchair charge on to the customer.
I don’t support Ryanair, but do understand that they feel they have a case for arguing that BAA should have paid for this service.
Look at it this way BMused55, given enough paint and filler, they can even make Cher look good!:p
