Sending four PAK FA (prototypes) to Syria was enormously valuable because USA was operating the F22A Raptor over Syria and through deconfliction channels CENTCOM was notifying Russia what the location of their F22A was. Each time US Forces sent a notification a PAK FA was dispatched to the area to find it with the Sukhoi’s radar sensors.
According to disclosures made by PAK FA designer Alexander Davidenko, revealed in the HAL India contract in Syria the IRBIS-E radar could detect the F-22 at a range of 160nm. by reverse calculation of the radar’s Aperture peak power output it was ascertained that the F22A Raptor’s RCS averaged 0.3 to 0.4 m2.

By contrast the Germans had Uranium centrifuges and Betatron separators with much faster enrichment rates than K-25, or Y-12 at Oak Ridge.

These POW do not describe it as an “Atomic bomb per se, but the description fits.
It also seems to describe the He177 V38 aircraft found at the Letov factory at Prague.
This aircraft could have been awaiting DB603N engines. for high altitude flight.
v38 also could have been waiting for DB603N engines which were fitted to He177 A6 prototypes converted to He277. HIGH altitude flight was the only way a German bomber could deliver any bombs over Britain by 1943/44.
Yes in reply to the original question, there is evidence at Kew W/O archives. The RAOC Gazette of October 1946 records: “… DDOS of 8 Corps found a factory engaged in production work for the German Atomic bomb.”
The reference is to an underground factory at Espelkamp, enriching Uranium described as under “Lange Horst wood” Inside RAOC sappers found 40 working Uranium centrifuges and what was described as a “Krupp reactor.”

A friend of mine Denise Wong corresponded with oil rig worker Mike McKay who abandoned the previously published email address. I have read his reply to her and he clarified that he saw an aircraft on fire for 10-15 seconds with a bright orange flame on the left side. (left side from his vantage as he could not understand if it was flying towards him or away – I assume it was making a turn to starboard over Con Son Island with flames down the port side)
That excludes any possibility of a Lithium battery fire since Lithium burns violet, not orange.
Also McKay said he saw the flames self-extinguish on the aircraft which he saw off Vietnam. This is precisely what one would expect from an aircraft with a cabin fire venting through a hole melted in the cabin wall.
Lithium batteries on the other hand generate self-sustaining exothermic reactions which would not self extinguish at 35,000ft.
There was a fire on MH370, which started inside a pressurised cabin. It had nothing to do with Lithium batteries. Once the aircraft had depressurised it could only fly by autopilot in a straight line on a magnetic heading in the direction it was last pointing.

That excludes any possibility that it flew an intricate zig-zag path back through the Straits of Malacca and then turned south around the tip of Sumatra. That never happened.
That it emitted the last satellite handshake ping at 00:11 UTC on the Southern Arc is not in dispute.
What has no credibility is the claim it was flown deliberately through the Straits of Malacca then turned South.
What is credible is that it suffered a cabin fire at high altitude after pilots had tried to turn the plane back from Vietnam.

With two 22,000lb Grand Slams mounted near the wing roots, the B-29’s Zero Fuel Weight (ZFW) would only be 115,360lb.
If you add fuel to reach Farge, Bremen (282sm) and return (say 600sm +Res) about 9,000lb more than sufficient for a mission from Norfolk to Bremen + return with Gross take off weight of 124,360lb. The B-29 combat ceiling climbing at at 500fpm is 36,550ft and 100fpm climb at the service ceiling of 40,000ft. One engine out ceiling is 35,300ft so why would 18,000ft be a challenge for an aircraft well below maximum gross weight?
The B-29’s Ceiling is based on maximum Gross weight less fuel burn. We are not even talking about a mission with full fuel.
Take off distance would not have been a challenge from RAF Sculthorpe’s 2,000m runway either.

Creaking… I recall reading the tail gunner’s account that the Duke himself was flying at the time of the crash and had announced he spotted something below and they were going down to investigate so presumably they saw what they considered might be a U-boat and dived through cloud thinking they were over water.
The Duke was known to be very pro-Nazi and this too has been linked in conspiracies

So the report notes that 12,000lb Tall Boys were to carried recessed into a B-29’s bomb bay
But leaves unanswered the question what types of Tall Boy bombs were intended for mounting under the wing roots?
Were these wing mounted bombs the 12,000lb or 22,000lb Tall Boys?
For ferry flights a further eight fuel tanks could be carried in the bomb bays. Therefore if the 12,000lb Tall Boy was mounted in the forward bomb bay were any of these ferry tanks able to boost the range if fitted in the rear bomb bay?
If MH370 flew from MEKAR the autopilot would have to have flown a magnetic heading and that being the case in the 5 hours and 49 minutes remaining until the last satellite ping at 00;11 UTC if flown on a magnetic heading would have overshot the Southern Arc by a large margin.
Only a deliberate conscious action programming a final co-ordinate on the southern arc could result in the autopilot flying a great circle route and why exactly would anybody program the autopilot to fly to that specific point?
What it actually proves is the entire nonsense of all these weighty calculations by satellite experts and orbital physics boffins. The reason why the actual behaviour of an autopilot does not correlate with all these vector additions by the Duncan Steel group is because MH370 never flew south from MEKAR

The real problem is they began with several false assumptions chief amongst which that it turned west from IGARI and flew through the Straits of Malacca.
The Duncan Steel group are experts in satellites and orbital dynamics, with no insight to aviation. They took as read that MH370 was last seen on radar at MEKAR north of Aceh and then began making vector additions from that location.
The Malaysian Government said a military radar at Butterworth tracked an unknown target flying over Pelau Perak, waypoint VAMPI and was last seen at MEKAR. The screenshot however is taken from a civilian SSR display:

It was never seen on radar flying to MEKAR. Indonesians at Lhoksumwae saw the same airspace and did not see the target which Malaysia claimed to track. Their claim is a hoax. The track plotted from MEKAR to the Indian Ocean uses vector addition from this position near MEKAR and the reason why it makes no sense is because MH370 was never at MEKAR.

The Germans expected B-29s to be introduced, and this drove their requirements for high altitude fighters – Ta152, Bv155 and Ju388J. I understand that the visit of a single B-29 to the UK was used for propaganda purposes – presumably this implied leaking this information to the Germans through the Doublecross system.
Postwar trials were carried out with heavy UK bombs, but these were carried underwing because the B-29’s bomb bay was split into two.
Unless good evidence is produced, I have to say that this story of a wartime raid does not seem plausible. That’s being polite.
The Vickers T.441 C-model was to have been built as a licensed B-29 for the RAF at Langford Lodge, Ulster. Funding for 300 British built B-29s was allotted 21st April 1943 (C.Barnett,Audit of War,P157) In RAF service it would have been called the Windsor, not the Washington as it was called post war.
