Excellent… this is the aircraft. Interestingly, for me at least, I provided several parts for this aircraft about five years ago via someone in Florida named Greg Sheppard, whom I believe is/was a part owner.
Cheers,
Richard
Actually not, the one pictured by fah619 is owned by Les Casques de Cuir (ie the Salis family) and based at La Ferté-Alais near Paris.

The Corsair you were thinking is located somewhere else in France and not so far advanced.
There was some talks about this Corsair project this week on WIX, page 2: http://warbirdinformationexchange.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=34779&hilit=corsair&start=15

and look for Boghopper Mk 11a posting on Thu 31 Dec 2009. And yes, she’ll be heading to France when engine repairs are finished.
And TE517 ?
At KurtB, be happy there is one Gauntlet flying…
Very unlikely. Her rebuild has just been finished and the paint is ‘new’. The current colors are accurate and were wore when she was flying with 312 Sqn.
Bring her back to the air !
John, according to the article published by FP, Dallas Doll markings codes SX-L are considered.
Surprised no one has mentionned David Nock P-51D currently underway with Midwest Aero in USA.
