Hiya Anna, you should visit the Worth Valley Railway if you are into old steam trains, its a working museum and it was used in the filming of “the railway children”. and for an added bonus it is in ‘Bronte’ country and well worth a visit (plus it has a working tank engine (yes i said TANK!!!) not w*** 😉 ).

mine was a revell hurricane MK1 in 1/72nd scale, built it when i was about 5 yrs old. it didn’t get painted and i don’t know what happened to it, got myself one about a year or so ago to build, (from the old molds and not the new – and very good – kit ). did it straight from the box and did a basic paint job, much like my earlier afforts at painting. if i can find it (its in a box in the loft) i will post a pic or two.

. Glad someone voted FOR the Saab 900 – I’ve got an 9-3 with an Auster badge in it!
Hi Auster fan, i have two Saab 900i’s and a 9-3 turbo cabrio, great cars.
i used to own a niva, found it a great tool for playing in (offroading) a suprisingly effective drivetrain / suspension, its only faults were it was dog slow (80 mph flat out) and it was incredibly noisey, more so than my current diesel landrover (and it is a rather old one with NO soundproofing 😮 ).
plus the niva NEVER got stuck 😀 . its only let down was lack of engine power. not a good car but a fun tool.

BMW “worse car” are you speaking from experience, my Mrs drives an X5 and swears by it
Hi Steve, worse than that advert, not worst ever car. the last one i drove was a 3 series (1992ish 325i ) and it felt like a cortina after driving my Saab 9-3 cabrio 😉 . personal choice i know but just my 2pw. i have to admit though i very nearly bought a BMW, it was a classic BMW 2002 2 door. wish i had now considering the way they have increased in value 🙁
best regards.
Greg
btw, i’m not saying the cortina was a bad car 🙂 just didn’t stir the soul like a really good car can :diablo: 😀
got to be the Beech Starship, awesome looking aircraft.

[QUOTE But what about the fire engine….[/QUOTE]
not what i originally thought, these are landys a 11b and a 3
btw i think that may be a Wessex and not a Whirlwind
my guesses,
1, hunter
2 whirlwind (helicopter)
3 first thought, landrover 11b (but have decided it isn’t, on second thoughts i think it may be a thornycroft.
current, between that bmw ad (lousey tune, worse car) and “calm down dear its only a comercial” (GRRRRRRR)
past, Do the shake and vac, and look a total prat (need i say more ;))
Greg
great pics, thanks for sharing, now i’m off to the doctors, i’ve turned this funny GREEN colour, can’t think why.:D
