I suppose you could call a generic British motorcar ‘oil leak’….

    Btw.
To all the lads working on the Victor. I am doing a clear out now and have come across some Tornado hardware. I see you do some work on the Tonka. Do you need hardware?
I do have some, not much but you never know… Give me a shout if you do need anything and I’ll have a rummage.
I do have a few of these though. M6 C/S, Torq-set head 78mm total length. Let me know if you can use them.

That is correct…history is a good source for information.

True. I believe the B2 Spirit was built with the aid of historic research.

The prototype Me 262’s were also tail draggers. They were difficult to get in the air because of the tail section being masked by the mainplanes…

Nothing wrong with the original (F-5/’Mig’ apart) it was great entertainment and did wonders for USN recruiting at the time. I wonder if North Korea will be the baddie again? Atleast they have access to proper Migs this time. I just wonder if the USN will play ball with their F/A-18’s? Will be pretty pointless if the USN is not involved.

The F5 was used as a Mig during the Red Flag exercises. It had similar characteristics. They even had Red Airforce markings…..
I did enjoy the film, purely as entertainment. I’m not that much of an anorak…….

How dreadful, I mean, its not as if any were actually involved is it?

Art Donahue, Billy Fiske, Phillip Leckrone, William Nelson, Eugene Tobin spring to mind. There were some 11 American pilots who served in Fighter Command during the BoB period.

I like the tail number of the Airfix kit. We used to call that one ‘5 and a half’….. 189 was also the fleet-leader, the one with the highest fatigue..
It’s a nice looking model, I’ll have to get one myself.
