A self seal plastic bag will be an excellent addition to the process of presevation.

Peter, mjr is on the right line s here. to stem this corrosion you need to remove the oxygen getting to it which is effectivly feeding it. Any of the items mjr has mentioned should do the trick but any corrosion inhibiter will work, somthing like wd40 if you have it. One that should be available state side is Tri Flow. The thing to remember is that if you plan to do anything with these items in the future, ie paint them, you will need to remove it, if you are just looking to preservr then this is the way to go. Be aware you may need to retreat after a awhile to keep up the level of protection.

No, the Manning Flanders did not appear in Ace’s High. In that pic it was being used to promote the movie. If im correct this A/C was built for “Those Magnificent Men” as the Vickers 22 ( or film Bleriot) by Doug Bianchi. Im sure its the same A/C but someone out there may know different.

The fuselage of the DVIII is twisted and fairly corroded at the front .From memory It was a fatal so I didn’t want to delve any further .I have some pictures of the fuse but they are not for circulation.

I was under that impresiom also which is why i was suprised that it was still about. Best left alone.

Just remembered that Brian Lecomber had Totota Sponsorship at one time as well, so the Pitts could be either S1S G-BIRD or S1T G-WILD!

I Belive that there was also a Nieuport, think it was a 24. This crashed at North Weald killing Tony Harrold.

More needed on the Stearman, what colour for a start would help. Was it yellow with a 450 PW and a girl on top? if so it would be N54922 but not sure if that was in the UK by then?
