Which is dated Feb 2010!!!!!!! not really latest:rolleyes:
Yes its Tiger, not sure what else you expect to find out about it really:confused:
I think I have about 4 on the shelf in the workshop!:)
Try Tiger Airways at Staverton, they did used to opperate Richard Thwaites a/c at one time. Not sure if they still do as they broke it and we had to mend it!!!
Thanks Tony, just what I needed, My Google search only came up with your last link to the company selling the decals!! Allready had them, just needed which way they went on!! Thanks again, I knew someone would have the answer 🙂
I think a visit is needed to have a close look at the BE2 :D:D
‘DW is an old Rothmans ‘2A. Bob Mitchell was using it for instruction in a green & white scheme in the late ’80’s/early ’90’s, based at Coventry. It’s been in long-term storage, pending rebuild for a long time.
Currently under active reuild, and has been for a while 🙂
And he doesn’t live in Lancashire! 😉
But he does still own it 🙂
Howard went passed here a little while ago, sounded awesome!!
As displayed at Lambeth, the BE2c has the tips of its elevators pointing up. Why is this?
Regards
I would imagine that over the years the fabric has pulled the structure out of shape 🙂
Im sorry, however much I admire the goal untill someone come up with more that a pile of scrap dug out of a hole as a starting point I think they are p*****g in the wind. As Bruce has pointed out there are candidates for rebuild out there and thats where they should be starting from. I would have hoped that if they are at all serious and have any hope at all they would have already had the list that the CAA handed them and allready spoken to them. I still do not see a sense of reality here Im affraid.
In what way, may I ask?
You may but I may not answer 🙂 You can PM me if you wish.
It would appear that Reflight Airworks were able to undertake the flight testing away from prying eyes – or is it just that no-one on this forum was around at the right time with a camera!
Not everything has to appear on this forum you know, as I was involved in the rebuild I have pictures of the first flights. They are however, at the request of the owners, not for the public domain, thats just the way it is 🙂
Excellent stuff that I think has been posted before but still great to see 🙂
I’ve totally missed this 1, I thought it had been restored with the co-operation of vic Norman amongst others to operate WW1 aircraft from.
Is this not the case? Is it open to visit?
I think you are getting a little confused here, Vic Norman is nothing to do with Stow Maries and never has been!! He is a co owner of RFC Rendcomb Aerodrome near Cirencester that was restored many years ago.
Stow is open to visit, Rendcomb ( I was there today ) is not.
