I had hoped above all hope to visit this thread today and find some good news, instead I was to find such terrible news:(

Oh dear, this aircraft is not only mega-rare but also beautifully restored.
Really hope it is found.
Report states ‘one of only four in the world’. There are actually eight survivors, of which six are airworthy (including VH-UXG)

The people on board are even rarer, infact one offs and irriplaceble!!!

I carnt add anymore to what has allready been said, just a stunning achievment and a beutifull aeroplane. Well, well done to all involved.
As for those that knock it in any way, I have no time for you and wont waste my words, you are not worth it.

You would hope with 2014 fast approaching somthing similar will be planned, the recent interest in the RE8 and Albatros shows that its not just Spitfires that people want to see. 🙂

Maybe the chap we spoke with as it wrong and they will take to the skies one more time, hope so but only time will tell. As always any A/C on a display list are subject to availability and im sorry but you should never count 100% on any A/C appearing a a show for many different reasons! The intent may be there but sometimes other things conspire against you.
