here’s a few couple of G-ARAM on her way back to good health.
[. God knows why manifolds aren’t manufactured out of something like stainless.[/QUOTE]
You can get stainless, you might not like the price though! And somthing is wrong if your manifold keeps cracking every 50hrs 😮
Interesting pics, any Gamecock ones?
obviously the result of a lot of hard work. Looking good
Thanks 🙂 yep lots of hard work. And as she is now, UK registered as G-KUUI.
And here’s a few more of N2MD durring and after her extensive rebuild and return to more traditional Cub yellow 🙂
Here’s a few from me, talken by Helen Tempest from Utt Butt Stearman N54922 whilst we were transiting to an Airshow at Montlucon in France. I was flying J3c cub N2MD, at this time the Cub was sponsored by Kia Cars, in case you had’nt noticed  Stearperson is Martyn Carrington. We did that trip many times, its a long way in a Cub, about 15 hrs flying to get there and back and about a week for your bum to recover 😀
Some rare exibits that look less than well cared for, shame 🙁
nice accesories 😀
This is G-APVT again and can be no later than 1973 as that was the year she was written off in a mid-air collision.
Sorry Albert, but DB is right, G-AVPJ in this one. Barnstormers had two tigers in that Scheme, VPJ and PVT. As you quite rightly say PVT was written off in a mid air at Tollerton in 1973, familly friend Barry Shaw sadly lost his life in the incident when the Rollason Beta flew into him as he was joining the cicuit to land for a Barnstormers Display. I remember it well, i was there that day 🙁
And heres another Tiger moth SOW, my sister with Skybolt at the controls!!! Sywell mid seventies at a guess.
Heres a few from Sywell early 70’s Rothmans Stampes and Pitts S2a’s and some of the American Aerobatic team that were there in 1970 for there work up for the World Champs at hullavington.
If I remember rightly, they do have Spitfire and Mustang rebuild projects, unless these have also moved on?
I think you will find that the Spit project has allready moved south!!
The CAA is at the moment the TC holder for the Auster, however with the new Legislation coming in they can no longer be the TC holder. Therefore a new TC holder is required or the A/C need to go onto a PFA Permit. If i still owned an Auster i would welcomb it going onto a permit with open arms.
Steady on there BM, the doom and gloom police will be after you for sowing dark clouds of cynicism, in future please smile when making such statements 🙂
owfully sorry 🙂 better? 😉
I foresee a Vulcan supplement to air show entrance fees – 50 quid perhaps?
You’ll be lucky, with people allready whineing about the cost of getting in to certain airshows!! and what if you wont pay the supplement??? will you be blindfolded and forced to wear ear diffenders durring the Vulcan display :diablo: As with anything to do with the Vulcan flying again, totaly unrealistic
